15 weeks before the race, the 30th real,- BERLIN-MARATHON has reached

it’s limits. The spectacular anniversary marathon, with a new course and

it’s new finish at the Brandenburger Gate on Strasse des 17. Juni –

at the Russian memorial – has caused a real rush on the starting numbers.

35.000 runners from over 80 nations – in 2002 32.752 runners

participated – entered the 30th real,- BERLIN-MARATHON. No further

applications can be accepted. Online-registration has been closed.

With the number of participants, Berlin matches the big international

marathon races like London, Chicago and New York.

Sir Simon Rattle, the director of the world-famous Berlin Philharmonic

Orchestra, will send the runners on Sunday, September 28th off running.

The organizers of SCC-RUNNING have set the race of the inline skaters on

Saturday, September 27th – the day before the runner’s marathon.
